4th Annual Modelling of Complex Social Systems Symposium
The main focus of this truly interdisciplinary event will be on some very recent research related to modelling of complex social sysems, ie systems that exhibit dynamic properties that cannot be explained by the characteristics of their individual components. The topics will range from network topologies to criminology and contemporary health related issues.
The speakers include:
- Dr. Hamid Arabnia, Department of Computer Science, University of Georgia
- Dr. Jeffrey Brantingham, Department of Anthrolopology, University of California, Los Angeles
- Dr. Steven Shechter, Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia
- Dr. Les Vertesi, Complex Systems Modelling Group, The IRMACS Centre, Simon Fraser University
- Dr. Raman Paranjape, Centre for Sustainable Communities, University of Regina
- Dr. Brian Fisher, School of Interactive Arts & Technology, Simon Fraser University
